Trinity is a traditional church that follows the historic Christian faith and ancient creeds.
We are a member church of the Presbyterian Church in America.
Core Values
COMMUNITY
God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit have always existed together in a community of infinite love. When God adopts us as His children, He calls us to be genuinely relational as we live in unity without uniformity, diversity without division.
GENEROSITY
God is extravagant in His grace and limitless in His love. We long not only to receive God’s generosity, but to have it flow from us into the lives of others. Freely we have received; freely we give.
DIGNITY
Because all people are made in God’s image, we are passionate to see human dignity honored, celebrated and restored.
BEAUTY
God has filled this world with beauty. As image bearers of God, we are invited to create, celebrate, and enjoy beauty. We believe all beauty whispers to our souls that there is Someone Ultimate. We are passionate about pointing to God as the beauty behind all beauty.
LIBERTY
We are passionate about keeping the gospel front and center. Therefore, we seek “unity in essentials, liberty in non-essentials, charity in all." We emphasize the central teachings of the church as expressed in the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds. But we also recognize the liberty each person has to hold diverse views on issues that are not central to the gospel.
Core Beliefs
God
We believe there is one eternal and unchangeable God in three persons, of one substance and co-equal in glory: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Scriptures
We believe that the Bible is the written word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit. We believe that the Bible is infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and life.
Humankind
We believe men and women are created in the image of God. We believe that all people are sinners who are entirely unable to save ourselves from God's righteous judgement.
Salvation
We believe that salvation is a gift bestowed in God's merciful grace alone, based on no merit or any foreseen faith.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal son of God, and that through his sinless life, death, and resurrection He satisfied God's justice for the sins of those who trust in Him alone for salvation.
The Second Coming
We believe that Jesus Christ will come again in glory, bodily and visibly, to judge the living and the dead.
The Church
We believe that the Church is God's chosen expression of His covenant people, the body of Christ, and the instrument by which God displays His glory and dispenses his gospel across the world.
The Sacraments
We practice two sacraments instituted by the Lord Jesus in his life: Baptism, given to believers and their children as a sign of God's covenant promise, and the Lord's Supper, open to all who have been baptized and publicly professed their faith in Jesus Christ.
Learn More
As a church, we affirm the historic creeds. We are also committed to being a church that serves those who are curious or skeptical about Christianity. We welcome those who are in the process of figuring out who Jesus is, and what it means to follow Him.
Ancient Creeds
The historic Christian faith has affirmed both the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed since ancient times. These creedal statements of faith continue to guide and connect Christians around the world to this day.
The Presbyterian Church in America
The Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) is a group of churches which are unified in their belief in the Westminster Confession of Faith and committed to the heritage of the Protestant Reformation.
Liberty of Conscience
While the teachings of the Westminster Confession are affirmed by our pastors, there are many people at Trinity Church whose personal beliefs differ on secondary matters. Affirming the Westminster Standards is not a requirement for membership, nor is it a requirement for most areas of service or leadership (apart from holding church office).
While all aspects of the Christian faith are near to our hearts, not all issues are worth dividing over. If you are interested in how we keep the Good News of Jesus Christ central, check out our Liberty of Conscience Guide.
